The following is the working list of Natural Hazard Vulnerabilities.  Information obtained at the Public Workshop on Tuesday, August 11th will assist in adding to this listing.

95 roads in town provide the only way in or out to residential areas.  Access to these areas may be cut off due to downed trees, washed out roads, traffic accidents or acts of terrorism.  
Purchase additional equipment to clear roads of downed trees, disabled vehicles, or unforeseen obstacles.  i.e. chain saws, lifting gear (chains & winches), bulldozer, chipper, wheeled excavator with grapple, tub grinder.

Pocotopaug Creek passes under the old factory building.  At high flows the water flows around the building and into lower level windows flooding the lower floor of the building.
