New York on Your Own Trip
Experience the beauty of New York City at holiday time. The luxary motor coach departs East Hampton Parks and Recreation at 7:30AM on Saturday December 5. You will have time on your own in the city before we depart at 6:00PM. The cost is $40 per person.
Online Adult Education
The East Hampton Parks and Recreation Department is proud to offer instructor-facilitated online adult education. These instructor-facilitated online courses are informative, fun, interactive, and the best part is they can fit into even the busiest of schedules. Total Body Workout
This popular aerobics class offers a cardio warm-up, low impact aerobics, and extended strength training segments using various equipment and a relaxing cool down stretch. The class meets at TWO convenient times at Fit Trix of East Hampton located at 84 East High Street. The 8-week session begins on September 14 and ends November 6. The class meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The morning session is 8:30-9:30 AM and the “after work” session runs from 5:30-6:30 PM. The cost is $58.00.
Body Step
This is an energizing step workout with cardio blocks that push fat burning systems into high gear followed by muscle conditioning tracks to shape and tone. The class combines athletic moves and “flavor” tracks to burn an average of 600 calories in one hour! The class meets at Fit Trix of East Hampton located at 84 East High Street. The 8-week session begins on September 14 and ends on November 4. The class meets on Monday and Wednesday. The mourning session is 9:30-10:30AM and the “after work” session runs from 6:30-7:30PM. The cost is $45.
Body Pump
A 60 minute barbell class that strengthens your entire body! Great music, awesome instructors and your choice of weight inspire you to get the results you are looking for fast. The class meets at Fit Trix of East Hampton located at 84 East High Street. The 8-week session begins on September 15 and ends on November 5. The class meets on Tuesday and Thursday. The mourning session is 9:30-10:30AM and the “after work” session runs from 6:00-7:00PM. The cost is $45.
Youth Basketball 2009 – 2010
East Hampton Parks and Recreation is now taking registrations for the 2009 – 2010 Youth Basketball season. The recreational basketball program is for boys and girls in grades 2 through 8. Teams practice one night a week and play a game on Saturdays. Due to limited gym time you do not have a choice of practice nights. To register you must fill out the Youth Basketball Registration form available at www.easthamptonct.gov or at the Parks and Recreation office before October 30. The cost is $60 and the season will begin in early December.
Art Workshop
This class offers step by step instruction on painting in all mediums. All skill levels are welcome. The class meets at East Hampton Middle School’s art room on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-9:00PM September 29 – November 24. The cost is $60.
Fall Baseball Skills Clinic
***Expanded new session****
Sharpen your skills outdoors one more time before winter. College and High School coaches and players will provide evaluation and age appropriate instruction in all phases of the game. A new “Mental Game Training Session” has been added this year. Saturday AM instruction will be followed by a game with an umpire. T-Shirt, Lunch, and evaluation report provided. The clinic meets October 29,30 and 31 (rain date November 1) at the East Hampton High School Baseball Field.
American Red Cross Adult and Child CPR, A.E.D. and Basic First Aid
This class teaches the skills for adult and child CPR as well as the use of an automatic external defibrillator (A.E.D.) and basic first aid. Participants must attend and pass both classes to receive certifications. Session I meets Thursdays September 17 and 24, Session II meets Tuesday and Thursday October 20 and 22. Each session meets at the East Hampton Ambulance Assoc. Headquarters from 6:30 – 10:00PM. The cost is $25.
